Poli Sana (Swahili for "very sorry"
Here's a pic of the church hosting the pastors' conference. It's far bigger and fancier than almost any of the other Kanisa la Neema (Church of Grace) buildings I've been at and will see. Most are one room structures made out of baked mud bricks. I'll have more pics when I get home.
I wish I could write posts; there's sure plenty of content for them! But when I have internet I don't have but a few minutes to check email and little more, and when I have time I don't have internet. It looks like it will stay that way until Monday or Tuesday of next week. The pastors' conference goes through Friday, I'm meeting with Bible college teachers here on Saturday, and Sunday I'm preaching in a village church. Monday we'll drive 5 hours back to Mbeya where I'll have consistent internet. Or at least that's what's supposed to happen.
Not much of "supposed to" actually comes true here, but that's typical, I'm told.
I'm eight days into this trip and have another seven to go. I'm counting sleeps 'til I'm back home. I thoroughly enjoy what I'm doing, think it's going well, and the people I'm working with are terrific. But it is exhausting.
We just had "lunch" - boiled rice and three pieces of beef that are mostly gristle - and now it's time for the fourth session. Then we'll drive back to Mumba, 45 minutes away, where we're staying. Unless the road is washed out again, in which case it will take twice that long to go around the long way.
Oh, and the word road is used in the most liberal way. The Dakar rally has nothing on this place. Unbelievable what they drive over and through (rivers) here.
Later.
