"If you shoot at mimes should you use a silencer?" - Stephen Wright

From a friend's Facebook page.

We have been 10-15 degrees below average, both daily highs and lows, for the last 10 days. We have just as much snow and ice on the ground as we did a week ago and it is slippery! By Tuesday we're supposed to be into the 40's where we belong, with 3/4" of rain. Same temps on Wednesday, but with 1.4" of rain. So the snow should be gone soon.

We moved the goats out to the barn today, but just for the afternoon. The stress of being out there will compound whatever is going on with their digestive tract, so we don't need to stress them with cold, too. They spent the afternoon in their permanent home and then we brought them in for their evening bottles and to spend the night in their pen. They'll do the same tomorrow, but by Monday the temps should be high enough that they can stay out there 24/7. Plus, by Monday evening I'll be home with Stella, the 8-month old doe, that will keep them company.
Note: this pic shows them relaxing in their favorite spot, our couch, covered with an old sleeping bag that Pam got at Goodwill. It has a layer of plastic underneath it.

I wrote the above late yesterday and then got distracted. Never finished it for posting. Oh well. Nothing you couldn't live without.

I'm now up and into my Sunday routine. At 3:30 a.m. it's 48 degrees in MoHo, 22 outside. I've got the fire started and a cup of coffee at the ready. We'll go to church, have some lunch, and then I'll make a run over to Marta's. She's got a big dog crate she thinks will fit in the back of the Kia to contain Stella, which would make the drive back a LOT easier.

Bummed about the Seahawk's loss yesterday but they never got it going and their fate looked sealed by halftime. Sure hope the Packers can lay a whoopin' on Dallas!
Coffee refill. It's COLD in here.
