"I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." - P.G. Wodehouse

Face plant!
Somewhere there's a kid with a Razor Scooter that didn't see the wet cement coming.

Pam and I both woke up with colds. Neither of us will die, but we're also not getting much done. Pam did some grocery shopping to get some essentials and I took care of the goats and did a few other chores, and then we both did a lot of sitting. Coffee (me), tea (Pam), soup, and toasted cheese sandwiches.

I watched a news story this morning about the President's roll-back of the rules regarding the use of school restrooms by transexuals under Title IX. In classic media fashion the story included a video clip of a "transexual 8-year old" who is affected by this executive order.
What?????
How can a pre-pubescent child have sexual identity issues? That defies common sense for everyone except ....
Oh, never mind.

I am so bummed. I thought we were done with bottle feeding next Tuesday only to realize yesterday that I'd miscounted. We aren't actually done until March 14. Goats get weaned at three months and Itzhak and Asante were born in late December. I counted 12 weeks, except I only went 10. I have no idea how I missed that badly.

Just like parents never stop being parents, pastors never stop being pastors. They always feel concern and protective of those who were in their flock, no matter how far back that was. When they suffer or hurt we feel it with them. That's difficult when the passing of time has put miles between us, making direct contact impossible. So I'm thankful for the internet and the options it provides.
Yes, I'm troubled for several of "mine."

If I sat here and thought about it I would probably come up with more to write about, but my cold-addled brain doesn't want to. I'm going to get my lap blanket and curl up under it until 8:00 when it's time to go give Itzhak and Asante their bottles. That is the last thing on my list for the day and turning in for the night will happen as soon as the bottles are washed and prepped for the 6:00 a.m. feeding. Tomorrow is a busy day and sitting idly in my chair is not an option, so I'm going to do that while I can.
