"We shape our buildings. Thereafter they shape us." - Winston Churchill

We lose an hour of sleep tonight so this will be short.

Good day. I was the guest of the men's Monday night small group at an Italian restaurant for lunch. I had pasta falgioli, which is a soup with beans and pasta. I couldn't finish it.

Tonight Kent and Linda took me to a seafood place where I had flounder. Very good, another huge serving (I ate all of it) and great conversation.

One of the things I like about being a Christian and having an opportunity like this is having conversations with a wide variety of people. Everybody has a unique story and hearing them is a privilege besides being fascinating.
The people are the best part!

I did three miles mid-morning. I'd read the wind was going to pick up as the day progressed so getting it in before lunch seemed like a good idea. The problem: the temp would also pick up, something it hadn't done when I was out.
When I got back I checked the wind chill. A rather brisk 28 degrees. My face was frozen.

I'm reading another Zane Grey novel, ""Riders of the Purple Sage." I'm only a few chapters in but I can see why people get hooked on his stories.

Given the loss of an hour tonight it's well past my bedtime.
Sorry.
