"There is always room at the top." - Daniel Webster

Pickup note from a science geek.

I heard a promo for an NPR story that will air tomorrow and it included something I've not heard before. I won't get the wording right but it was something like, "Tell your online speaker, "Tune to NPR.'"
I guess we'll hear a lot more of that, eh?
Remember when they first started mentioning web sites in commercials and the included "www" in the URL?

It rained all day, a constant drizzle that was just heavy enough to keep me inside. Which worked out well because I really didn't feel like doing any work anyway. I knew as soon as I got up this morning that my body was rebelling against the last three days of pushing. Uff-dah.
I did go to the gym this afternoon, I took the new bathroom fan out of the box to see how it installs, and did a little work on Brazil sessions, but beyond that...nada.
Tomorrow I'll get back at it. The rain is supposed to hold off until about noon so I'll work outside if it does.

I may bake a pie after dinner. I'm eating with Mrs. Swanson in Pam's absence.

We enjoyed the two episodes of Maigret we saw on PBS but it didn't seem to show up on the schedule beyond that back-to-back airing on one night. I'm not sure why but two weeks later they've now added it to the weekly schedule beginning tomorrow night. It took us those two episodes to decide we like it. Now it's part of our regular recording schedule. Look for it on your PBS station.
Weird: it's set in Paris with all the roles filled by British actors and airing in the U.S.

Sundae is due in six weeks. At the rate she's growing the last couple of weeks are going to be misery for her. She already lumbers and gets up/down with difficulty. Triplets??

I've finished my delicious turkey and mashed potatoes dinner (blech!) and talked on the phone with Pam and my mom. I'm either going to sit here and watch stupid TV, listen to Met Opera and read, or bake a pie.
I haven't decided which option I'll choose but I better decide soon or it will be time for bed.
I'll let you know tomorrow which one won out.
