Or shorter nails??
I left the motel on the north end of Seattle at 2:20 p.m.. Two hours later I'd gone a total of 40 miles On. The. Freeway. That pace continued for the next hour or more along with rain and mushy snow. It shouldn't have taken an hour to get to Tacoma and it took me two and a half. I had a LATE dinner at Carl's Jr. 20 miles north of Vancouver a little after 7:00 when I should have been within 30 minutes of home
I walked in our front door five minutes before 11:00.
Lesson: do not try to get into or out of the city of Seattle during rush hour, which extends from 6 a.m. straight through to 8 p.m.
Can you tell that almost 12 hours later I'm still irritated? And exhausted?
Mom is mostly settled into her new room at Crista's retirement wing. It's very nice, the noon (main) meal we all had together was very good (salmon), and she'll be well taken care of.

You'll be Bach in an hour or so.
Goodness!
I think one of my favorites is the six ladies doing Beethoven's fifth.
When I was driving through Elmira last night on my way to Baker Rd. I was unpleasantly surprised at how much snow is still on the ground. Temps won't be much warmer for the foreseeable future with overnight lows below freezing and daytime only getting into the mid-40s, so I'm not optimistic the white stuff will be gone real soon.
We went for our usual Thursday night pizza date. When we walked in a little after 5:00 the place was empty except for one other couple. When we left both the parking lot and the restaurant were full. The area where we sat had just filled up with parents and a bunch of what looked like 8-10 year boys who were there for what was clearly a pre-season meeting with the coach of their team. Soccer? Baseball? Flag football? I don't know but those boys were FULL of energy.
We got out just in time.
Now a cup of coffee, a recorded episode of Endeavor, and an early sleep.
