"Who has a harder fight than he who is trying to overcome himself?" - Thomas a Kempis

When I'm at work listening to Spotify and the "Hallelujah Chorus" plays do I have to stand at my desk until it's done?

Today's Google Doodle honors Seiichi Myahke who invented the bumpy tiles along walkways and sidewalks. I clicked through and learned they are designed to alert the visually impaired who feel them with their cane or through their shoes that they're approaching a potentially dangerous area.
I did not know that.
I just know that when I roll my cart across them as I go from Home Depot to my vehicle those bumps shake everything OFF the cart and onto the pavement.
So it's fair to say I'm not such a big fan of the dots or of the late Mr. Myahke.

Old guys driving new Mustangs give a wave and/or a nod to old guys driving old Mustangs. It's their way of saying, "OK, you're cooler than me."
Yeah, they're right.

We hit 70 degrees today, the first time since October 22.
WOOT!!

I drove Sally home with the window down and worked on trimming out the exterior of windows when I got home. I didn't want to remove/replace the third one because we have to leave for our small group at 5:00. If something went wrong I wouldn't have time to fix it. I'll do that tomorrow and hopefully also get it and two others trimmed out. If the weather holds I can get them painted Wednesday afternoon before Thursday's predicted rain.

Today's gym trip included 50 burpees (five sets of ten). Determined to kill it! My new goal is a total of 105.
My previous best is 101.
Do you stop doing burpees because you get old or do you get old because you stop doing burpees?

I learned today about "snowplow parents." It seems a step worse, and perhaps the next logical progression beyond helicopter parents.
Is our heavenly Father either?? Perhaps he could be described as a helicopter Father, always hovering over us. But he certainly is NOT a snowplow Parent. I think he's just the opposite, per James 1, letting us go through struggles to challenge and mature us.
What's good for me is rarely what's easy on me.
Burpees or life's struggles.
