"Nothing is really lost until your mother can't find it." - unknown

I can't figure out the how but the what is clearly not good.

We're leaving at 4:30 a.m. to get Pam to the airport for her first flight on the way to Grand Rapids.
Blech.
Total blech.

Last Friday I had that piece of tooth break loose. Today I went to see Dan, our dentist. He and his business partner Brad attend UFC and my Sunday morning class. Brad and his wife Sarah are in our small group. All very nice people.
And the good news is that the piece of tooth broke off of a molar that was already broken beyond repair and basically just filling up the space. No action required.

It poured last night and for much of today. Sally's wipers only have one speed and between that and no defroster the drive into town was...exciting. All the creeks, including the one through the middle of our three acres, are near capacity.

That ^ was last night. It's now Wednesday morning and I'm just back from the airport. They say it will rain this morning with some clearing this afternoon before we're back to rain tonight and into next week. So I'll work this afternoon outside getting as many chores done as I can.

It should be an interesting day at work. I *think* the thumbs up/down decision will be made at this morning's staff meeting on the adult ed classes I'd teach, but I thought the decision was going to be made a month ago, so we'll see. If this does get the go-ahead I'll teach the first class in May. Each course will be 4-6 weeks long with a one or two week break between them. And since June counts as summer here we'll just have time for one class before we break until fall.

There will be two categories of classes. I'm calling one "BTh" for Bible & Theology, and the other "CL" for Christian Living. The latter will be things like a look at stewardship as the defining paradigm of the Christian life, the Christian's relationship to civil govt. (or uncivil govt.), what it means to walk by faith, etc. I want the classes to be interactive with plenty of time for questions and discussion, maybe through breakouts. I want them to engage both the BTh and CL topics.

At Dave's direction I gave my Sunday morning class a survey about their interest in attending these classes and the response was overwhelmingly positive. I realize if/when it actually happens that interest may not turn into attendance for many, but at least they say now they want the classes. And my impression is that the logistical issues have been addressed. So I'm hopeful this will get the green light.

The other interesting thing going on this morning is some time set aside at the staff meeting to meet a guy under consideration for a staff position. After interacting with him at the meeting we're all supposed to spend 30 minutes with him individually. I have the half hour right after that meeting.
Poor guy. He's going to be exhausted by day's end.

OK, time for a shower and then into the office to get started on some work for Sunday's class.
