"Wise men speak because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something." - Plato

Today I drove a 53 year old car into work and it was a vintage experience.
I wiped the fog off the windshield with a cloth rag every few minutes to do what the non-functioning defrost system can't.
The fog and rain drops on the passenger window made looking out to my right pretty much impossible. When did they add defrost vents that point at the side windows? I guess it really doesn't matter because my system doesn't work anyway.
I realized right after leaving Starbucks that my gas gauge was just shy of empty. There are no gas stations between there and the office so the question was, do I have enough gas to get to the office 5 miles away and then, when I leave at noon, back to the gas station I passed a mile ago?
I decided the stress wasn't worth it so I turned around and went back to fill up the tank. It only holds 13 gallons (I opted for the original replacement, not the 17 gallon tank Ford started using in 1967) and noted that when I filled it up it only took a little over 10 gallons. I could have made it. But the stress still wasn't worth it.
The gas gauge goes down at an even and predictable pace until about the 1/4 tank mark and then it drops very quickly. I know that, but still don't know what "just above E" means in terms of gas remaining. Remember uneven gauge travel?
But I was driving a 1966 Mustang, and the coolness quotient that comes with that far exceeds any minor inconveniences (or safety issues) that come along with that.

A friend on FB posted a comment on their disbelief of the Barr summary on the Mueller report. Attached was a long list of what I'll call "smoke" signs that indicate, in her opinion, that there's a fire behind them. It was a long list.
If (!) Barr is misrepresenting the Mueller report wouldn't Mueller say something. "Hey, this is NOT what I concluded!" And Barr would know he'll get caught in the act when, as he said he will do, he releases the report.
When it goes to Congress the Mueller report will be redacted. Federal law requires that grand jury content be kept secret when it contains certain categories of material - which this report does.
No matter. Expect the Dems to scream in protest at a redacted report and claim it shows Barr is withholding info to protect POTUS.
Oh well. I still have a '66 Mustang to drive, so my life is good.

Just home from our small group. We were down two couples and two spouses but we had fun, laughed a lot, and had a very interesting conversation about a biblical passage. Totally off topic, not anything to do with Brett's sermon, but very profitable IMO. It's fun to see people encounter the clear teaching of the Bible, especially when in contradicts what they'd just said is their view on the topic. Good on her for backing down and giving Scripture it's due.

Long day tomorrow with several potent things on the day's agenda so I'm going to finish my cup of coffee and head to bed.
