"Prejudice is a great time saver. You can form opinions without having to get the facts." - E.B. White

If the President had been in one of my homiletics classes he'd have rec'd a lesser grade for violating Rule #3: "The mind can absorb no more than the seat can endure."
Whew! He went on a long time.

I learned a lot today, about all sorts of things. That makes for a good day!

I learned about two women who weren't getting along. Here we are, almost 2,000 years after Paul wrote to the church in Philippi, and we know the names of those two women. They must have been embarrassed to be mentioned for their failure to work together. I wonder if they know we'll be talking about them this Sunday.

One of the advantages of living in a retirement community is talking with old guys who worked in the trades and will share their knowledge. Picked some brains today and learned a lot from them, too.

I know Wikipedia has its limitations but it's sure handy for getting a basic grasp of some complex topics. Today, in preparation for this Sunday's adult class I learned the basic steps in the process of in vitro fertilization, as well as some of the pitfalls.
We're having some good discussions in this series on "Current Issues and the Bible." They're good at critical thinking.

Is it a problem that my right shoulder makes funny crunchy and crackly noises when I do pull ups?

In addition to our H.S. choir I was in 16-singer group known as the Ballard Chorale. We did everything from madrigals to folk songs, including some by Pete Seeger. Not many like him left.
