"Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be." - John Wooden

As of 8 p.m. tonight I *think* I'll be done with this course. That's when I'll submit the last assignment, a paper written by four of us in a learning group. The purpose of the assignment was to show us how to set up groups within a class, establish a framework for their efforts, and then assess their work. I don't think I understand any of that, but hey, the assignment is done, I will turn in my portion of our project, and I'll pass the course. I think.

I took our tax stuff to the CPA this morning. It's not if we'll get bad news, it's how bad it will be. As I was entering the data in the form he supplies each year I could see that our deductions were all lower than last year, and we owed a significant sum to the feds then. Yeah, this is like waiting for the other shoe to drop, except that it's a big boot. A really big boot.

I broke my camera today. A cheap point-and-shoot that I've had for several years, so it's no huge loss, except that it's a huge loss because of the pictures that were on it.
I've been taking pictures of each step in the disassembly of the truck so I have a reference when it comes time for re-assembly. I got all of the front end off today - bumper, grill, radiator, outer and inner fenders - all documented with photos as I progressed. I had the camera in my hip pocket, laid down on the creeper to take out one of the last bolts from the passenger side fender and....

When I turn it on the lens goes in and out, in and out, in and out, about four times. Then the screen says, "Please turn the camera off and back on again." OK, except every time I do that I get a repeat of the cycle.
I'm going to try downloading the pics I took today and then replace the camera with another cheapo. I can't be trusted with the good stuff.

The forecast calls for low 80's all week. I noticed today that my water lilies are sending up leaves already. Saturday we drop into the upper 60's with a 40% chance of rain. If it does rain it will be the first precipitation we've had in about 75 days.

Time for some crockpot paleo dinner and then back-to-back episodes of Top Gear. I also have a recorded episode of Chasing Classic Cars to watch.
Yes, I am a car guy, and my wife is married to a car guy. It's either this or the inane drivel of network TV on a Monday night.
