How??
If you've seen any news today you know that it rained here. Here in Sun City we got 2.76" but in some areas of the metro area they got over 4", which blew previous records out of the water. The desert ground can only handle about 1/4" of water and then it just runs off, into whatever is downhill. If the rain keeps coming the I-10 freeway, the main route through the city, turns into a lake.
They interviewed a guy on TV whose car got stuck door-handle deep in that freeway lake and he said the cops had waved him through right before the water swamped him. That's how fast it can rise.
I talked to Chris and my engine will be ready for pickup Wednesday morning. Woot!
I'm eager to get it put together, painted and looking factory fresh.
I'm prepared for disappointment; we still don't have a QB. But maybe, just maybe we can begin the season with a win.
Go Cardinals!
Many (most?) Presidents are more highly thought of a few years after they've left office. Even Bush II is getting some props now, including from Clinton. (Did you see their entertaining exchange over the weekend?) I suppose there are several reasons why a President's performance looks better after the passage of some time, but whatever those reasons are, they are not universal. Pres. Carter isn't on anybody's list of C+ Chief Executives, though in fairness he's not done anything to help his image since leaving office. Acted like an unruly 10-year old ever since he moved back south.
President Obama has gone from pop star status to a liability for members of his own party in six years. No less than Dianne Feinstein, senior Senator from CA, is openly saying he's bungling foreign policy issues.
So will he get a post-office bump?
I read that for women, blue jeans may soon be replaced by yoga pants.
Please, Lord, no.
Or for men, either.
