Many media outlets mocked the WH when Omorosa (sp?) was given a position in the west wing. "What have we come to when a reality TV star is given access to the Oval Office?"
Now that she's gone they're decrying the lack of diversity in the WH.
Hmmm.

It was supposed to be warmer not as cold last night. Nope. We got down into the mid-20's.
We could live back in west Michigan where everything got closed because of lake effect snow. They had the same overnight low, but they stayed there for the rest of Friday and get still more snow.

I can't tell if our Hughes satellite internet is faster than the old Dish system, but it doesn't cut out anymore. And we are saving $20 a month, so there's that.

We're also getting eggs. Lots and lots of eggs. We have 8 hens and get at least 6 eggs a day. One day this week every one of the girls laid an egg. We normally take a couple of dozen to sell at our small group but we're not meeting until after the first of the year.
Omelette anyone?

Do electricians eat Ohmelettes? Naw, they'd resist that.

I drove 30 miles to Springfield this morning to the closest Best Buy in order to get a new printer. On the way out and back I listened to the classical station and heard a piano/cello duet by Mendelssohn. I'm biased, but I think the cello is the most beautiful sounding instrument and hearing that piece made me think I really do need to get back to playing.
And that got me to thinking that if I were to do that, and if I were to pick a piece to work on, it would be "The Children's Prayer" from Hansel and Gretel by Englebert Humperdinck (no, not that one, the real one)
I walked in the door and guess what was playing on the Dish music station Pam had going? Yep, the very same, just not a cello version. The full orchestra arrangement.
A sign from God?

If I was looking for a fun classic (older) car that would hold or gain value I might consider a Porsche 914. They used to be dismissed as a poseur Porsche, but they're starting to get some love and attention, climbing i value, and from what I read can be fun to drive after a few simple after-market additions.

I feel like Match.com. I just scheduled with Marta to take Sundae while we're gone for a tryst with one of her bucks. I asked Marta if I should dress Sundae in something frilly, or spray her with some perfume. She said does are excited by a buck's stink (and it's BAD) and bucks get turned on by a doe's urine.
One more thing for which to give thanks - that God made humans unique.

I got a new HP printer and paid all of $50 for the thing. That's half of what I paid for our the one that just went belly up. This one will do everything but fax, and who does that anymore? We print so seldom that things like pages-per-minute, 2-sided printing, and photo quality don't matter.
What drove me crazy was getting Pam's Chromebook to work with the thing. This printer says it doesn't support the Chromebook's OS so I set it up to print through her email system. (I just said more than I understand.) I eventually got it to work, but don't ask me how. "I was lost when I found it."

I messed a bit with Sally this afternoon. My long range plan is to install an AM/FM radio but leave the stock radio in place for appearance's sake. There are a couple of loose wires hanging under the dash from some previous owner's work and one of them seems to be hot. So I may be able to tap into that for power when the time comes.
I'll either mount the new unit under the dash with a universal bracket or in the glove box. Almost all aftermarket radios now come with a remote control.

Curling is on again tonight. Must-see TV.

I suggest you find a friend and learn to play a real classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT3SBzmDxGk
