"How soon after waking up is it OK to take a nap?"

I arrived at Bruce & Debby's mid-morning in a bit of a fog, but if you're going to be anywhere in any condition this is the place to be. I've eaten like a king including homemade soup, a BACON sandwich (I think it had other stuff on it, too, but who cares?), shepherd pie (Mmmmm), a really good glass of red wine (I'm no snob but this really was good), and on and on and on.

Bruce and I went on a bike ride up into the hills on their E-bikes. I didn't know what an E-bike was but two minutes in I was grinning. It has an electric motor that (at least in this case) has five levels of assist. So you start pedaling and it contributes a degree of power to help move you along. Climbing a fairly steep grade? Move it up a notch and move up that hill like it was nothing.
Sweet!
Top speed with maximum assist is about 20 mph. You can go faster but it will require your input to do so
We road about 90 minutes up a dirt road to a great view of the Pacific and then back down and home, talking all the way. Good stuff.

I've learned about baking and cooking (Deb's amazing), about carpentry (Bruce is a craftsman), we've talked family, church, culture.....
This is a seriously good place to be and the kind of experience I soak up and live off for days.
The people are the best part!

I'll leave here about 9 a.m. for the drive home and hope to be there by midnight. Google Maps shows it as a 13 hour drive but I have to add in stops for food, gas, and a couple of naps. The really good news...NO weather issues!! And the Blazer did fine on the drive here so I'm cautiously optimistic.

+++++++++++++
It's 2:00 and I've stopped for lunch in Santa Nella along the I-5. My GPS (Waze) says I'll get home at about 10:35 but that doesn't include this stop, dinner someplace, a couple of gas/bathroom stops, and at least one nap. My goal was midnight but I don't think I'll make that. The important thing is to make it, so I won't push through if I'm tired.

If I'm going to listen to the radio long this stretch it almost has to be country western.
God puts us through trials to grow us.

Honda CR-V, Toyota Rav4, or Mazda CRX?

OK, it's about time to climb back in the Blazer, point it at Elmira, and GO.
